![]() 2 This game does not require 3D hardware acceleration. 1 The game is programmed in C++ and its code and media are licensed under the GPL. I think these tree people should be added to the game, and used in various campaigns, at the campaign designer's discretion. The Battle for Wesnoth, or simply Wesnoth or BfW, is a fantasy themed 2D turn-based strategy game started by David White in June 2003. Allowing the Rebels to recruit these 'giant tree people', who are well, kinda small giant tree people, in fact no more powerful than a troll whelp, seems too obviously contrived to me. The development team is proud to present version 1.16 of The Battle for Wesnoth This release features a variety of improvements to many areas of the game including many improved campaigns, a fully re-balanced Dunefolk faction, new portraits and units, upgrades to the AI, a variety of new features for add-on authors, many many. no-one can recruit ogres or dragons in mp for this reason. We have intentionally avoided adding obvious contrivances to multiplayer to allow units to fight - e.g. Rarely seen even by elves, the Wose is an order of creature about which little is known. Removing horsemen from the Rebels would remove one of their few units that actually adds the diversity of being good outside of forest, and not good in forest.Īlso imho the idea of these guys is meant to be that they're huge. I don't see any other real purpose they would serve than that. The Rebels are already powerful enough in forest without receiving yet more units that are powerful there. Their use would likely be almost entirely restricted to forest. I don't think adding these things to Rebels in multiplayer is a good idea.
